Sumit Modani CEO
Third-generation in a Jaipur gemstone family, Sumit Modani grew up in the trade. In 1996, he stepped into the business his father and grandfather had built as specialty emerald cutters and set out to take it further.
Today he leads Modani Jewels as a vertically integrated brand with offices across New York, Hong Kong, Dubai, and India, holding one of the most diversified maisons and loose stone inventories in the trade.
Under his leadership, the group brought design and manufacturing under one roof, supplying rare gemstones, natural diamonds, and finished fine jewelry to collectors and wholesalers worldwide.
Andrea Lucille Pooler COO
Beginning at the bench as a jeweler and designer, Andrea Lucille Pooler has spent more than two decades across nearly every corner of the fine jewelry industry: her own retail store, corporate operations at James Allen, growth strategy consulting at Hill & Co., and now Chief Operating Officer of Modani Jewels, a third-generation, vertically integrated group with operations in New York, Ohio, India, Hong Kong, and Dubai.
She holds a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Graduate Gemologist diploma from GIA. She is Editor-in-Chief of The Source, chairs the Women's Jewelry Association New York Metro Chapter, and volunteers her appraisal expertise at a hospice retail store. As a speaker, writer, and business coach, she has built her career on jewelry and diamond education and mentorship, with a focus on business strategy and brand launching.
